There are few places in the world that will give you chills just by hearing their name. Death Valley…is one of them! Located in the eastern part of the California Mojave desert, it is one of the hottest places on Earth. Temperatures can reach a staggering 134 degrees Fahrenheit. It may feel like you are in a furnace being burned alive, but that’s usually only a problem in the summer 🙂 Death Valley has so many beautiful sights, from sand dunes to salt pans. One of the most spectacular sights is at the Zabriskie Point. It is composed of sediments from Furnace Creek Lake, which dried up 5 million years ago—long before Death Valley came into existence.
